Welcome back to the Grover Class of 2016!!
I sincerely look forward to continuing the work we began together last year.  We have all grown and changed since we met when you were little 7th graders.  Many of you significantly improved your academic skills through hard work and determination to push yourself toward excellence.  Keep that attitude in mind, and the world will be an easier place for you.
I will keep key documents on this page.  If you get home and realize you need the specifics or format  of an assignment, look here.  If it isn't here or in our Google Classroom, email me to post what you need.
Weekly home assignments are a way to strengthen your skills as a reader, writer, interpreter of information, and communicator. There will be four assignments due each week -- two reading logs, one diary or writing assignment, and one news summary with analysis.  All assignments should meet the listed criteria and be done neatly on lined paper.  Work will be collected Fridays.

Here is the reading log.

Here is the What's In The News format.

And here is the Identity Journal that will be the basis of your diary assignment for the first ten weeks of this school year.
